Your Are Not Alone

Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou
dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
How amazing it is to know that God desires this type of relationship with us. He doesn’t want us
to be discouraged but instead be positive and without fear, because He is with us. Isn’t it
reassuring to know that the Lord our God is with us wherever we go!? ‘Wherever’ meaning
without restriction. So even if we wanted to, we couldn’t run from His love. He is like a shadow
without limitations (but so much better).
A few weeks ago, I watched several videos of babies and toddlers that noticed their own
shadow for the first time, and they tried to run from it. Most of them feared it and began crying
as they tried to run away. Have you ever experienced a similar moment in your life? You know
who God is, but you still run. Even when we don’t love ourselves, He still loves us.
What about the feeling of loneliness or shame due to events that unfolded in your life, whether
by your own wrongdoing or someone else’s? Regardless, He is still there.
Based on Joshua 1:9, we never have to worry about being alone. If you have never heard the
song, “There was Jesus” by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton, please listen to it. No matter what
the situation is, or the feelings associated with them, He is there, wherever we go!
Often when we make mistakes, we feel less, than’ unworthy to call upon His name, and
sometimes we feel completely lost. For a Christian, His word tells us in Hebrews 12:6-7, “For
whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure
chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth
not?” So even then, He does not leave us. Instead, He walks with us, loves us, and continues to
pursue us through correction and His loving nature. Just like a Father who loves his sons and
daughters would do. Regardless of the circumstances, we can rest assured that the Father is
there and will help us in our time of need. Regardless of what Satan thinks about it! As a
Christian, we have already won. Jesus defeated death, and we can smile through the pain,
heartaches, trials, and tribulations of this life knowing that He has overcome this earth and
when. When our journey has ended, we will join Him in the eternity that He has promised us
through His word.

For the one who is unsure about life after death and has not made that commitment to allow
Jesus into to their heart, please know that in Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, “Come to Me, all
you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is
easy and My burden is light.”. Your best life has yet to come if you just choose Him. This world

cares nothing about you, but the Father gave His son to die on the cross because He WANTS
YOU to seek Him, to love Him and to live with Him in the land of forever one day. Even though
trials and tribulations may come, you will not be carrying them alone. He will carry them, and He
will carry you when you cannot carry yourself.
What an amazing God of grace and mercy we serve.
Thank you, Lord, for always being with me. Even in the darkest places, your light saw me
through to the other side. My lighthouse, my Savior and my friend, Amen.
May you feel His presence this week as He walks with you, even when you may not see Him.
Stop and reflect in His goodness. Look around at all the blessings He has given you and Thank
Him.
